Description

Prof. Fan has a vast R&D experience in AI and Robotics for industrial applications.  He obtained over HK$100Mil R&D funding of ITF, contract research projects as well as other grants.      

Prof. Fan published over 30 articles in peer reviewed journals/conference proceedings. He holds numerous US and International patents.  Prof. Fan is fellow/members of numerous HK & UK professional institutes.

Prof. Fan also received numerous local and overseas awards of his inventions/projects including:
  • “Robo-9 with multi-sensor technologies for visually impaired”, Gold Award, Edison Awards, USA, April 2025.
  • “Automated System for Concrete Cube Testing”, Merit, Industrial Category, HKIE Grand Award 2023.
  • “A robot-guide (Robo-9) for enhancing social distancing practices”, Merit, HKIE Electronics Project Competition 2022.
