2025年9月6日，香港樹仁大學應用數據科學系會籌備委員會的成員，以及眾多新生們，共同參與了由系會籌辦的迎新活動。本次活動旨在幫助新生們更好地融入大學生活，瞭解系會，並結識新朋友。系會主席介紹了系會的成立宗旨、組織架構、過往的精彩活動以及未來的發展藍圖，讓新生們對系會有了全面的認識，並激發了他們參與系會活動的熱情。

隨後，破冰遊戲「數字報團」與「有緣人報數」率先拉開序幕。原本略顯靦腆的新生們，在遊戲的推動下漸漸放開，陌生感也隨之消散。破冰之後，活動進入高潮 —— 小組打卡挑戰！新生們被分為 3 組，採用輪換制參加三項趣味互動項目，內容涵蓋肢體表達、音樂辨識與創意畫圖，既考驗隊員間的默契配合，又充滿趣味性。每個項目結束後，工作人員都會即時統計分數，大家為了團隊得分紛紛全力投入，在陣陣歡笑與緊密協作。經過三輪激烈角逐，中場休息時迎來了最激動的頒獎環節！系會為在上一環節獲勝的隊伍精心準備了「零食大禮包」與「應用數據科學學系專屬鑰匙扣」—— 零食包裡裝滿了各式餅乾、巧克力等小食，而鑰匙扣則印著應用資料科學 Logo 字樣，兼具紀念意義與實用性。

最後，活動進入放鬆的分區深度體驗環節。課室被劃分為 2 個區域，每個區域都有專門的工作人員引導與主持：​A 區（課室左前方）：派對 / 策略桌遊：新生們圍坐在一起玩桌遊，在遊戲中隨意暢聊，分享對大學課程的期待；​B 區（課室右前方）：手遊電競：喜歡遊戲的同學們自發組隊開黑，聊起遊戲操作技巧時熱情滿滿，全程話題不斷，輕鬆拉近了距離。​

此次迎新活動不僅讓新生們快速認識了新朋友，感受到應用數據科學系會的活力與溫暖，更為他們即將開始的大學生活打下了良好的基礎。系會也期待在今後的日子裡，與全體新生一起成長，共同創造更多精彩瞬間！

On September 6, 2025, members of the Preparatory Committee of the Department of Applied Data Science Association of Hong Kong Shue Yan University, along with many freshmen, participated in a carefully organized orientation activities for the Preparatory Committee of the Department of Applied Data Science Association in H302, Residential & Amenities Complex. The activities aimed to help freshmen better integrate into university life, learn about the department, and make new friends. 

 At the outset, the chairman provided a basic introduction to the Department of Applied Data Science Association. They elaborated on the department's mission, organizational structure, past events, and future development plans, providing the freshmen with a comprehensive understanding of the department and stimulating their enthusiasm for participating in these activities.

Then, icebreaker games, "Number Group" and "Counting Destined People," kicked off the activities. The initially shy freshmen gradually relaxed under the guidance of the games, and their unfamiliarity dissipated. After the icebreaker, the event reached its climax – the group check-in challenge! The freshmen were divided into three groups and rotated through three fun interactive projects, covering body expression, music recognition, and creative drawing. These projects tested team coordination and were both engaging and entertaining. After each project, the staff immediately tallied the scores, and everyone gave their all to achieve their team's highest score, accompanied by laughter and close collaboration.

After three intense rounds of competition, the most exciting moment came during intermission! The departmental committee carefully prepared a "snack gift pack" and a "Department of Applied Data Science keychain" for the winning team. The snack pack was filled with a variety of cookies, chocolates, and other snacks, while the keychain was emblazoned with the Department of Applied Data Science logo, offering both commemorative and practical value.

Finally, the event entered a relaxing, in-depth experience session. The classroom is divided into two areas, each with dedicated staff to guide and moderate the group:

• Area A (front left of the classroom): Party/Strategy Board Games: Freshmen gathered together to play board games, freely chatting and sharing their expectations for university courses;
• Area B (front right of the classroom): Mobile Esports: Gaming enthusiasts formed teams to play together, enthusiastically discussing game techniques and engaging conversation throughout the session, easily fostering close bonds.

This orientation activities not only allowed the freshmen to quickly make new friends and experience the vitality and warmth of the Department of Applied Data Science Association, but also laid a solid foundation for their upcoming university life. The Association looks forward to growing with all freshmen and creating many more exciting moments together in the years ahead!
