HKSYU Financial Assistance and Studentship Schemes for Local Undergraduate Students

  • The University's Financial Assistance Scheme is set up to assist students at economic disadvantages to release their financial burdens, with the hope that they can complete their studies and give back to the society. HKSYU offers a number of financial assistance schemes including:
    • Bursary / Tuition remission
    • Hall Bursary
    • Emergency Assistance

Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies (FTSS)

Starting from the 2025/26 Academic Year, the Education Bureau (EDB) has launched the Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies (FTSS) to attract meritorious local students^ to pursue further studies in areas of strategic priority for the development of Hong Kong. 

The maximum amount of scholarship will be $100,000 per eligible student for the entire programme, regardless of the actual study period of the programme and mode of study. The scholarship will be disbursed as a one-off payment upon the student's successful graduation and attainment of satisfactory academic results.

^Students holding the following documents issued by the Immigration Department of the HKSAR are non-local students and will NOT be considered for the scholarship: (a) student visa/entry permit; (b) visa/entry permit under the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates; or (c) dependant visa/entry permit who were 18 years old or above when they were issued with such visa/entry permit by the Immigration Department of the HKSAR.
