
The Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China visited our Virtual Reality Laboratory (VR Lab) at Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) on 26th Feb 2025, focusing on the subject of the integration of virtual and augmented reality in education. This visit highlighted the University's innovative approach to digital pedagogy, emphasizing the importance of cutting-edge technology in enhancing student learning experiences. The delegates had the opportunity to explore the VR CAVE, an immersive space that allows students to engage with virtual environments through interactive technology. They also experienced the AR Matching Card, an augmented reality tool that transforms traditional learning materials into interactive experiences.
The officials recognized the immense potential of these technologies in optimizing education in China, noting that the VR CAVE experience and the AR Matching Card could significantly enhance student engagement and motivation for learning.
