The Department of Applied Data Science is pleased to invite you to attend the iFREE GROUP Innovation and Research Centre Colloquium Series 2021/22 webinar given by Mr. Yuxiang Liu, Senior Technology Architect at Oracle. The topic is The Evolution History of Blockchain
 
Mr. Liu is a Senior Technology Architect of Oracle, Cloud Platform Solution Engineer team. As a member of the Hyperledger Blockchain Project Technical Working Group China (TWGC) committee, he is leading Fabric-GM Special Interest Group (SIG) in Hong Kong who helps to organize local community to meetup.
 
As an individual, he contributes to the fabric-sdk-node and the fabric documenting works. With 4 years of experience in using Hyperledger Blockchain technology for finance and healthcare and positioning as Mediconcen former CTO, he has been volunteering to advocate Hyperledger adoption in business providing both technical and commercial advices.

Abstract: In this webinar, we will go through the evolution history of blockchain from a p2p e-cash paper to a major industry. Moving forward on both technical and commercial storyline, we can see how geek and open-source community, IT giant, institutional and individual investor, anti-trust and cynicism, fundamentalism and bloomsome blockchain variants interact with each other to build up the blockchain world.
