The Department of Applied Data Science (ADS) successfully hosted the 2025 Orientation Day for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs and the Graduate School. The events occurred on 26 August (Tuesday) and 29 August (Friday) 2025, marking the introduction of new members to our expanding academic community.

This year represents a significant milestone for our department, particularly with the Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Data Science (BSc-ADS) receiving SSSDP status and lists as one of the JUPAS programmes. Additionally, we are pleased to announce the official launch of three new academic programmes: the Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Digital Solutions for Entertainment and Game Applications (BSc-DSEGA), the Master of Science in Game Development and Management (MSc-GDM), and the BSc-ADS Minor Programme.

The Department has welcomed more students than ever before, fostering a vibrant and interdisciplinary learning environment.
