The Department is proud to announce that the project “SafeRent”, led by Dr. Philip Lee, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Finance (E&F), together with student members from the Department of Data Science and Digital Innovation (DSDI), has been awarded funding under the Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2026. Competing against teams from universities across Hong Kong, the project successfully secured HK$100,000 in Cyberport Creative Micro Fund (CCMF) funding.

This remarkable achievement reflects HKSYU’s commitment to nurturing innovative talent with strong digital competencies and entrepreneurial mindsets. It also serves as an excellent example of interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together the expertise of academic staff and students from different disciplines to develop impactful technology-driven solutions.
