Our faculty member, Dr. Liu Chang, held a solo exhibition at the L0 Gallery of the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre from June 25 to July 7.

Titled MR Séance Illusion: Connecting with Soul Fragments in Porcelain, the exhibition innovatively integrates physical ceramics with Mixed Reality (MR) technology to explore the profound themes of trauma and healing.

The exhibition received significant recognition from leading figures across the ceramics, new media art, and gaming industries. Notable attendees and supporters included Mr. Gabriel Pang (Chairman of the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association), Rosanna Ho (President of the Hong Kong Ceramic Research Society), Mr. Ip Yuk Yiu, Prof. Tobias Klein (Associate Dean of the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong), Dr. Max Hatter (Associate Professor at CityU) and Dr. Jussi Pekka(Associate Professor at CityU).

Furthermore, Dr. Liu Chang has been awarded the 2026 Emerging Artists Development Grant by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. She is anticipated to present her second solo MR exhibition in 2028. Please stay tuned!
