On 7 March 2026, the Department of Applied Data Science (ADS) hosted a seminar in collaboration with the Hong Kong Game Development Association (HKGD) at the VR Laboratory (RHB 507) and E-sport Lab (RHB 504). The speaker, Mr. Michael Sze, Head of Secretariat of HKGD and Director of CSoft Game Company, shared insights on Hong Kong’s game development landscape, indie game trends, and challenges faced by local creators. He and several developers also presented successful case studies from both local and overseas markets.

During the event, ADS faculty introduced the Master’s Degree in Game Development and Management (GDM), covering programme details, admission requirements, and career prospects. A campus tour to E-sport Lab (RHB 504) and networking session followed, giving participants the chance to explore HKSYU’s game development facilities and connect with staff, students, and industry professionals.
