On October 19, 2024, two teams of four talented students from the Applied Data Science (ADS) department stole the show at the Art Tech event, sweeping excellence awards in the AI Image Generation competition and VR Art Therapy Competition, and making it to the finals! These exciting competitions took place at the Chai Wan THEi campus, where the Head of the Department and four ADS students were in attendance to cheer on and celebrate our students' remarkable achievements.

The event was a vibrant showcase of the perfect blend of art and technology, featuring three engaging exhibition areas: a forum area, a science and technology experience area, and a students' works exhibition area. The goal was to inspire public appreciation and understanding of this rapidly emerging field.

In the AI image generation competition, our students seamlessly merged tradition with technology to create breathtaking works of art. Meanwhile, in the VR Art Therapy competition, our students' project impressed judges with its innovative use of virtual reality technology to support mental health treatment. This outstanding result not only highlights our students' exceptional abilities in applied data science but also demonstrates their vast potential in fusing art and technology.

The event provided a fantastic platform for students to showcase their talents, exchange ideas, and learn from one another, laying a solid foundation for their future growth and development in the Art Tech field.
