What a wonderful night event on 26th September 2024! Thanks to the invitation from the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Center, our faculty member, along with ten students from the Department of Applied Data Science (ADS), enjoyed a captivating performance of "Qian Xuesen" presented by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Drama Troupe at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University theatre.

This remarkable play vividly depicted the image of a great patriotic scientist, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. Through the actors' superb performances, the patriotic sentiments and outstanding contributions of Academician Qian Xuesen were fully showcased, transporting the audience to an era filled with passion and challenges. This experience allowed students to deeply appreciate the spiritual essence of the great scientist.

Prior to the show, two students from the ADS had the honour of being interviewed by reporters from China News Service. During the interview, students commemorated Academician Qian Xuesen, expressing their deep respect for this great scientist and their enthusiasm for pursuing careers in science and technology in the future.
