On 15 September 2026, the Social Robotics & Digital Living Laboratory at Hong Kong Shue Yan University hosted a demonstration of the Booster K1 intelligent robot. Mr. Leo Yang of Booster Robotics showcased its applications in entertainment, K–12 education, companionship and care for vulnerable groups, and sports. Designed for middle school and undergraduate learners, the humanoid robot features high-performance computing, rapid response, and a user-friendly design. The event explored how AI robots can enhance intelligent classroom instruction, hands-on projects, and interdisciplinary research in healthcare, social robotics, human-robot interaction, and digital living, providing equipment support, practical embodied-AI experience, and fostering academia–industry collaboration in AI-enabled social robotics.
