Invitation to Participate in Our Public Research Results Seminars – The Hong Kong Story of Play

Dear guests,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in our Public Research Results Seminars featuring the project titled “The Hong Kong Story of Play in Public Estates: Revitalization and Inheritance of HK Faded Public Playgrounds and Gameplay Activities in Immersive Virtual Environments” (CSTB.C27.9.196). This initiative is organized by the Department of Applied Data Science at Hong Kong Shue Yan University and is funded by the Lord Wilson Heritage Trust (LWHT) for the 2024-25 academic year.

To deepen your understanding of the project and the fading story of play in Hong Kong, we will host a series of three public research results seminars in July and August 2025. These seminars will present research findings, feature guest speakers for discussions, and include workshops that allow participants to experience the virtual faded playground. Details of the seminar can refer to the attached poster.

You may also find details of the project results at  https://vrlab.hksyu.edu/hong-kong-story-of-play/ and download the designed Immersive Virtual Environment from the Meta Store at https://www.meta.com/experiences/view/1321443348416166/

This is a public seminar, and no prior registration is required.

Thank you for your attention and will see you soon.
